Very nice float with almost no noticeable development and largely tree lined banks. No navigation trouble spots. A little hull scrapping on a couple of short riffles if water levels below normal. Trip time is 1.5 hours at normal water levels.

DIRECTIONS:
Put-In: While it's possible to get in at Clark Road, we recommend the longer trip from River Creek Campground to River Road (about 8 miles). No official or public put-in here, though people have scrambled up sand bank of dredging company on left bank before bridge. Please note you are trespassing if exiting here though the property owner doesn't chase people off as long as you avoid the area during dredging operations.
Take-Out: No official or public take-out here, though the property owners there are OK with limited paddler use on the left bank before the bridge. Please park only near bridge on Thompson Lake Road. Do not park in field farther down Thompson Lake Rd. The informal access is directly under the bridge.
Hopefully you won’t ever need to use it, but what happens if the batteries in your GPS are dead?
