The game lands offer adventurous hikers a wilderness experience as the area has no official trail maps and minimal signage. There are multiple waterfalls
and beautiful creeks and views. If hiking this area on your own please bring maps and experience in reading them.

Please be fully aware of state and local hunting seasons and rules. It is highly recommended to wear blaze orange anytime hiking in game lands.

There two main access areas as well several other roadside access areas. The two main access areas are:

Roper Hollow Rd – east of US 64 (Google Map of parking area)

Old CC Road – Golden Valley (Google Map of parking area)

From the Roper Hollow Rd parking area, there is 12-miles of a gravel road, open to hiking, biking and horse riding. The road serves mostly as the border
between the game lands and South Mountain State Park lands. At the end of the 12 miles, it connects to trails in South Mountains State Park. You can
view that trail on the GPS the Trail link above.

WHERE: Bostic, NC

DIRECTIONS: Mostly in northeast Rutherford County, the Golden Valley area.
