Great trail to explore the boulders and rock faces at the base of Rumbling Bald Mountain. The trail is wide with a mostly gravel surface. Trail was recently
upgraded and re-routed in places.

This is an extremely popular area for rock climbing. The parking lot is often full on every nice weekend between October and April. The parking lot has been expanded and now includes over 100 spaces.

This new trail was constructed by staff of Chimney Rock State Park and the volunteer efforts of the Carolina Mountain Club, Carolina Climbers Coalition,
and the Friends of Chimney Rock State Park.

WHERE: 827 Boys Camp Rd., Lake Lure, NC 28746

DIRECTIONS: Turn on Boys Camp Road near the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge. Travel 1.4 miles and turn left into the parking area.
