The Green River enters from the right at mile 3. The river widens significantly thereafter. (See trip report below).

DIRECTIONS: Coxe to Poors Ford Rd
Put-In: Coxe Road River Access (2254 Coxe Rd, Rutherfordton, NC 28139). Underneath US 74 bridge. New access construction is complete with parking, concrete steps, dock.
Take-Out: No public access.
Make sure you have the supplies to deal with major injuries, and make sure you have the knowledge to use it.
