Float time 2-3 hours.
40-50 ft wide and meandering with high banks and is mostly shaded class 1 rapids or less. Passes under one bridge at Union Road. There is one rock ledge making a class 2 drop, long boats be weary. There is a visible rock to the right that can be used as a portage. It’s also a great spot to stop and play in the rapid. There is a rope swing about the halfway point of the trip which is another great place to stop and play.
This is the busiest section of river due the two public accesses on either end. Though it never feels busy on the river.
ROC does annual clean ups on this section of river. Contact us to get involved.
