Pavement Pounder Results

FOREST CITY - The results are in for the first Pavement Pounder 5K hosted by Rutherford Internal Medicine. Over 100 runners and walkers competed. The Rutherford County Race Series is heating up with the weather as nearly all of the top point earners completed Saturday.

On the male side Jonathan Thacker was the overall winner at the Pavement Pounder 5K and is the race series leader.

On the female side Lauren Powell is now alone in first place after her second place overall finish among the women Saturday. Megan Glover was the overall female winner Saturday.

Next race in the series is the RiversEDGE 5K Trail run on June 25.
