Bear Foot 5K results

SUNSHINE - The first race in the Rutherford County Race Series was completed Saturday. Sunshine Elementary School was the host for 187 runners aged 4 to 70 who ran between the rain drops to the finish. Laura Morse of Rutherfordton was the top female finisher and Jonathon Thacker of Spruce Pine the top male. Thacker finished in 17:11. The race results and current race series standings are posted on the Race Series home page. The next race in the series is the Leader of the Pack 5K in Forest City on May 14.
